Such a big fan of these two products!! The okumidori matcha is fragrant and floral, and the hojicha is rich and chocolatey. I saw some reviews saying it was seaweedy, but compared to other hojichas on the market, this hojicha barely has any seaweed flavor. I've tried a lot of hojichas and I think that seaweed note is pretty common (and I kinda like it, it's almost savory to me) but I'd say nami's is perfectly balanced and great for a latte :)

I was excited to try the matcha and hojicha because I love both in general. NAMI matcha is on the lighter side. I compared it side by side with 2 other brands and NAMI didn't have a strong distinct smell like the other brands. The taste was also on the lighter side as well. It tasted good and not bitter but I think that I prefer a stronger taste. The Hojicha was excellent though! It was strong and full bodied and I really enjoyed it. I think I would repurchase the Hojicha and not the matcha due to my preferences. The quality is good though and I still recommend giving both a try. Shipping was lighting fast and came in 4 days to Cali!!! Ashley and her family seem lovely and are entertaining to watch so happy to support - from 40 yr old lady that loves tea

i already tried both the nami matcha and hojicha, absolutely loved them- to now have them as a set with 20% less is the best black friday deal. matcha is bright green, not bitter or fishy- perfect ceremonial grade, i'm excited!!!

i was really disappointed with the matcha. it was way too light for me and would've liked it to be a little stronger. couldn't smell anything either. the hojicha on the other hand was amazing though. very strong smell and tasted like perfection. i would only repurchase the hojicha again.

Honestly was a little disappointed but the quality of the matcha. The color was a dull green and the flavor was quite astringent and weak. Its not the worst matcha I've had but for the price I don't think its worth it which is disappointing because I wanted to like it so bad. Now the hojicha was actually terrible for me. Im not too familiar with hojicha so maybe this is normal? But the smell was so fishy like seaweed and it was so astringent it made my mouth feel dry. Unfortunately will not be repurchasing from Nami.
